🗣️ Discussion of the Day: IELTS, OET or PTE? Which English test did you take?
If you're headed to the US, the VisaScreen certificate from TruMerit (formerly CGFNS) needs a passing English test unless you're exempt. Approved tests include IELTS Academic, OET, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, MET and Cambridge English. Two things to know: TruMerit says it does not accept at-home versions of these tests, and the approved tests and passing scores changed for exams taken after May 12, 2026. Check the official page before you book.
Tell us:
1) Which test you took or are planning
2) The section that was hardest for you
3) One study tip or free resource that actually helped
Which English test did you pick, what was your hardest section, and what helped you most?
