This Privacy Policy explains how NurseMove (“NurseMove,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use nursemove.com and related services (the “Services”), including job search, applications, employer tools, and Breakroom.

Who we are

NurseMove operates an online platform that helps healthcare professionals discover jobs and connect with employers, and helps employers recruit talent. For privacy inquiries, contact [email protected].

Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account data: name, email address, password (if you create one), role (healthcare worker or employer), and related profile details.
  • Professional profile: specialty, work history, education, licenses/credentials you choose to share, location preferences, and similar career information.
  • Employer data: organization name, company profile details, job postings, and recruiting communications.
  • Applications and messaging: job applications, cover notes, uploaded documents (such as resumes), and messages you send through the Services.
  • Community content: posts, comments, and other content you share in Breakroom or similar features.
  • Support communications: information you send when contacting support or submitting feedback.

2.2 Information from third-party sign-in

If you sign in with Google or another supported identity provider, we receive information those providers make available to us (typically your name, email address, and a unique provider account identifier), subject to your settings with that provider.

2.3 Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, search queries, approximate timestamps, and interaction events.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referral URLs, and diagnostic logs needed for security and reliability.
  • Job engagement counts: when you view a job or click through to an employer’s application site, we record the event so employers can see how their listings perform. For these counts we store a keyed one-way hash of your IP address rather than the address itself, and we filter out automated traffic.
  • Cookies: as described in our Cookie Policy.

2.4 Information from others

We may receive information about you from employers you interact with, other users (for example, connection or follow activity), and service providers that help us operate the platform.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services (accounts, profiles, jobs, applications, messaging, and Breakroom).
  • Match candidates with opportunities and surface relevant recommendations.
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud/abuse, and protect the security of the platform.
  • Communicate about your account, applications, connections, and service updates.
  • Send product or marketing communications where permitted by law (you may opt out of marketing emails).
  • Analyze usage to improve performance, reliability, and product design.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these situations:

  • With employers or candidates: when you apply to a job, message someone, or otherwise intentionally interact through the Services, relevant profile and application details may be shared with the other party.
  • Public or shared content: information you choose to make public on your profile or in Breakroom is visible according to your settings and the nature of the feature.
  • Service providers: vendors that help us with hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer support, payments, security, and similar operations, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Payments: paid employer features (such as featured job placement) are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page and are not stored by NurseMove; we receive the payment status, amount, and a transaction reference.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement: we use Google (Google tag) and Meta (Meta Pixel) to understand visits, measure sign-ups, and evaluate our advertising. These providers may receive device and usage information such as pages viewed and events like account registration. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland these tags load only after you consent; elsewhere you can opt out at any time on Your privacy choices. See our Cookie Policy for details.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of NurseMove, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions (such as authentication and security), preferences (such as theme), and analytics and advertising measurement (Google tag and Meta Pixel). See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with our retention practices.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong unique password and protect your account credentials.

International transfers

NurseMove may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request portability of certain data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Opt out of marketing emails (via unsubscribe links or account settings)
  • Opt out of sharing your personal information for advertising, on Your privacy choices (we also honor Global Privacy Control signals)

California residents may also have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
